About Big Bright News

Big Bright News is a UK news site with one simple editorial rule: every story we publish must be genuinely positive, uplifting and true. From scientific breakthroughs and environmental wins to community heroes and sporting triumphs, we report the good news that traditional headlines so often bury — because good news is real news.

Our coverage spans six sections — Tech, Science, Sport, Culture, Environment and Health — and every corner of the UK, from Scotland and Wales to Northern Ireland, the North of England, the Midlands, and London & the South. We deliberately balance our reporting so each region's share of stories mirrors its share of the UK population, drawing on dozens of trusted national and local news feeds.

Big Bright News is written for anyone who wants to stay informed without feeling worn down: busy readers, families, and optimists of all ages. Behind the scenes, our stories are researched by the Bright Engine — our fact-first editorial pipeline — then independently fact-checked and reviewed by human editors before anything goes live. Nothing is published without verification, and our corrections and takedown policy keeps us accountable.
